Oregano

Recipes

Availability: May

Storage tips: Refrigerate in a plastic bag. Oregano should last at least a week.

How to eat: Oregano is primarily used dried in soups and stews or on roasts or in salsa.  Fresh oregano is heavenly, try it in a pizza sauce simmered on low for a few minutes.  Or on fish or chicken or red meat.  Or you can put it into homemade dips or salad dressings.

How to preserve:  DRIED:  I recommend hanging your oregano to dry in a dry place in your house or use your dehydrator if you have one.
