Lovage

Recipes

Availability: Spring

Storage tips: Refrigerate in a plastic bag. It should last up to a week. Be careful not to smash the leaves in the fridge because this will result in loss of quality.

How to eat: Lovage is a relative of celery and has an edible stalk and leaf that has a celery-like flavor but much stronger.  Use it to garnish salads, fish, or in soups as a celery flavor.

How to preserve:  Best= Frozen:  chop the leaves and the stalks and put into a plastic ziplock bag or other container.  Freeze and use in soups or salad dressings.

Or you can dehydrate it and use it dried.
